Abstract
【解決手段】光沢が低下した外観、高い衝撃強度および優れた耐候性を有するキャップストックに加工可能な熱可塑性ポリマー組成物が開示されている。本明細書において記載されるキャップストックは、物品に押出成形すために特に有用である。これらは、改善された耐候性を有する多層複合体を調製するために様々な耐候性が不十分な構造用プラスチック物品に適用するためにも有用である。構造用プラスチックキャップストックおよび複合体を製造するための方法および光沢が低下した外観を有する、これから製造される物品も開示される。

Description
1/Tg=w1/Tg(1)+w2/Tg(2)
モノマーM1およびM2のポリマーに関して、w1およびw2は2つのポリマーの重量分率を意味し、Tg(1)およびTg(2)は、2つの対応するホモポリマーのガラス転移温度(ケルビン)を意味する。3以上のモノマーを含有するポリマーに関しては、さらなる項(wn/Tg(n))が追加される。ポリマーのTgは、たとえば示差走査熱量分析(「DSC」)をはじめとする様々な技術により測定することもできる。本明細書に記載される特定のTg値は、走査速度が10℃/分のDSCに基づいて測定される。ホモポリマーのガラス転移温度は、たとえば、“Polymer Handbook”J.BrandrupおよびE.H.Immergut編、Interscience Publishersに見出すことができる。

硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーを含まないコア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマー
この実施例は、40%(99BA/1ALMA)第一段および60%(80MMA/20BA)第二段のコア/シェルポリマーであって、第二段が第一段にグラフト結合されているポリマーを提供する。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと酸官能性アクリルポリマー(硬化剤なし)
実施例2において、100部の実施例1のキャップストックベースポリマーを15部の酸官能性アクリルポリマーElastene(商標)A−10(Rohm and Haas Companyから入手可能)とブレンドする。これは、1000グラムの実施例1のエマルジョンポリマー(45.5%固形分)を110.1グラムのElastene(商標)A−10エマルジョンポリマー(62%固形分)とよく撹拌しながら混合することにより行われる。ポリマー粉体をこのミックスから米国特許第4,278,578号に記載されている噴霧乾燥プロセスにしたがって調製し、噴霧乾燥中、0〜3重量%の炭酸カルシウムフロー助剤を任意にエマルジョンに添加してもよい。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
999.65グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中0.35グラムのJeffamine(商標)D−400(分子量400およびポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジアミン)(Huntsman Corporation of Houston、TXから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.035%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として0.268%のJeffamine(商標)D−400とのブレンドが得られる。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
999グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中、1グラムのJeffamine(商標)D−400(分子量400、ポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジアミン、Huntsman Corporation of Houston,TXから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.1%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として0.77%のJeffamine(商標)D−400とのブレンドが得られる。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
998グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中、2グラムのJeffamine(商標)D−400(分子量400、ポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジアミン、Huntsman Corporation of Houston,TXから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.2%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として1.54%のJeffamine(商標)D−400とのブレンドが得られる。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
999.65グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中、0.35グラムのD.E.R.(商標)736エポキシ樹脂(分子量368、ポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジエポキシ、Dow Chemical,Midland,MIから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.035%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として0.268%のD.E.R.(商標)736とのブレンドが得られる。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
999グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中、1グラムのD.E.R.(商標)736エポキシ樹脂(分子量368、ポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジエポキシ、Dow Chemical,Midland,MIから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.1%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として0.77%のD.E.R.(商標)736とのブレンドが得られる。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
998グラムの実施例2からの粉体をWaringブレンダー中、2グラムのD.E.R.(商標)736エポキシ樹脂(分子量368、ポリプロピレンオキシドの主鎖を有するジエポキシ、Dow Chemical,Midland,MIから入手可能)と混合する。これにより、合計重量を基準として、0.2%、すなわちElastene(商標)A−10重量を基準として1.54%のD.E.R.(商標)736とのブレンドが得られる。
非コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマー(硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーなし)
この実施例は、Atofinaから得られるPlexiglas(商標)VS100である。この物質は約95℃のTgを有するメチルメタクリレートのコポリマーである。
非コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
100重量部のAtofinaから得られるPlexiglas(商標)VS100を15重量部のRohm and Haas Companyから得られる酸官能性アクリルポリマーRhoplex(商標)HG1630とブレンドする。Rhoplex(商標)HG1630を噴霧乾燥粉体として使用する。これに0.6部のD.E.R.(商標)736エポキシ樹脂をブレンドする。
コア/シェルキャップストックベースポリマーと硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
100部の実施例1のキャップストックベースポリマーを15重量部の酸官能性アクリルポリマーRhoplex(商標)HG1630とブレンドする。これに、0.6部のD.E.R.(商標)736エポキシ樹脂をブレンドする。
Claims (14)
- (a)(i)50〜100重量部の第一の中ゴム性コア/シェルポリマー;および
(ii)0〜50重量部の第二の高ゴム性コア/シェルポリマー(ここにおいて、該シェルポリマーは25,000〜350,000g/モルの範囲の分子量を有する)
を含む熱可塑性ポリマー;および
(b)少なくとも1重量%の硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
を含む、低下した光沢を示す熱可塑性組成物。 - 硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーと反応することができる硬化剤をさらに含む請求項1記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーが、重合単位として、1以上のカルボン酸官能性モノマーを含み、さらに硬化剤が、多官能性アミン、多官能性エポキシド、多官能性カルボジイミド、ポリオール、ポリイソシアネート、活性化ポリアミド、メラミン−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、尿素−ホルムアルデヒドおよびポリアジリジンからなる群から選択される1以上の組成物を含む、請求項2記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 熱可塑性ポリマーがさらに非コア/シェルポリマーを含む請求項1記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- UV光安定剤、熱安定剤、顔料、蛍光増白剤、粉体フロー助剤、加工助剤、滑剤およびその組み合わせからなる群から選択される1以上の添加剤をさらに含む請求項1記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 0〜100重量部の少なくとも1種のポリ(塩化ビニル)樹脂をさらに含む請求項1記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- (a)押出成形可能な熱可塑性基体層および
(b)(i)a)50〜100重量部の第一の中ゴム性コア/シェルポリマー;および
b)0〜50重量部の第二の高ゴム性コア/シェルポリマー(該シェルポリマーは25,000〜350,000g/モルの範囲の分子量を有する)
を含む熱可塑性ポリマー;および
(ii)少なくとも1重量%の硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマー
を含む、
その上に配置された押出成形可能な熱可塑性キャップストック層を含む合成複合体。 - キャップストック層がさらに、硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーと反応することができる硬化剤を含む請求項7記載の合成複合体。
- 硬化性光沢低下アクリルポリマーが、重合単位として、1以上のカルボン酸官能性モノマーを含み、さらに硬化剤が、多官能性アミン、多官能性エポキシド、多官能性カルボジイミド、ポリオール、ポリイソシアネート、活性化ポリアミド、メラミンホルム−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、尿素−ホルムアルデヒドおよびポリアジリジンからなる群から選択される1以上の組成物を含む、請求項8記載の合成複合体。
- キャップストック層の熱可塑性ポリマーが、さらに非コア/シェルポリマーを含む請求項7記載の合成複合体。
- 熱可塑性基体層が、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、塩素化ポリ(塩化ビニル)、高耐衝撃ポリスチレン、ポリプロピレン、アクリロニトリル−ブタジエン−スチレン、およびその組み合わせからなる群から選択される1以上のポリマーを含む請求項7記載の合成複合体。
- 75度の入射角ジオメトリーで測定すると、キャップストック層が35未満の平均光沢を有する請求項7記載の合成複合体。
- キャップストック層が、40ミル厚さあたり25in−lbsより大きいドロップダート衝撃強度(23℃で、ASTM D4226に従う)を有する請求項7記載の合成複合体。
- キャップストック層が、40ミル厚さあたり25in−lbsより大きいドロップダート衝撃強度(23℃で、ASTM D4226に従う)を有する請求項12記載の合成複合体。
