Abstract
【解決手段】正極板と負極板とをセパレータを介して交互に積層してなる極板群を電槽内に挿入した鉛蓄電池において、前記正極板はPb-Ca-Sn-Al-BaからなるPb-Ca系鉛基合金からなる基板に、鉛粉に少量のSbまたはBiの少なくとも1種を添加して希硫酸水溶液で混練した活物質ペーストを塗布充填し、前記セパレータはフェルト状セパレータと袋状セパレータを積層し、該ファルト状セパレータが正極板に当接するようにし、また正極板または負極板の何れかが該袋状セパレータ内に収容されて極板群が形成され、前記極板群が電槽内に10〜25kPaの圧迫度で挿入されている鉛蓄電池。

Description
前記極板群の電槽内圧迫度(群圧迫度)は極板群端部と電槽内面との間にスペーサを差し込んで10〜25kPaの範囲で種々に変化させた。
試験条件は、試験温度80℃、放電25A×4分、充電25A×10分のCC/CV充電(定電流/定電圧充電)とし、一週間毎に356Aで判定放電を行い、30秒目電圧が7.2Vに達した時点を寿命とした。結果を表1に示した。表1には寿命原因を併記した。
なお、ガラスマットを用いない場合は袋状セパレータ表面の正極側に複数のリブを形成したものを用いた。
Claims (1)
- Pb−Ca系合金基板に正極活物質を充填した正極板と、負極板とをセパレータを介して交互に積層してなる極板群を電槽内に挿入した鉛蓄電池において、前記正極活物質にはSbまたはBiの少なくとも1元素が添加され、前記セパレータはフェルト状セパレータと合成樹脂製の袋状セパレータを積層したものであり、少なくとも前記正極板にはフェルト状セパレータが当接し、袋状セパレータ内には負極板または正極板の何れかが収容されており、前記極板群が電槽内に10〜25kPaの圧迫度で挿入されていることを特徴とする鉛蓄電池。
