Claims (13)

  1. 第１の陽極と第１の陰極との間に第１の発光層を有する第１の発光素子と、第２陽極と第２陰極との間に第２の発光層を有する第２の発光素子とが直列に積層された発光装置であって、
    前記第１の陰極と前記第２の陽極は接しており、
    前記第１の発光素子または前記第２の発光素子のいずれか一方は、少なくとも２つのピークを有する第１の発光スペクトルを示し、他方は前記２つのピークとは異なる位置にピークを有する第２の発光スペクトルを示し、
    前記第１の発光スペクトルと前記第２の発光スペクトルとを合わせた発光スペクトルを示すことを特徴とする発光装置。
  2. 前記第２の発光スペクトルが少なくとも２つのピークを有することを特徴とする請求項１に記載の発光装置。
  3. 第１の陽極と第１の陰極との間に第１の発光層を有する第１の発光素子と、第２の陽極と第２の陰極との間に第２の発光層を有する第２の発光素子とが直列に積層された発光装置であって、
    前記第１の陰極と前記第２の陽極は接しており、
    前記第１の発光素子または前記第２の発光素子のいずれか一方は、補色の関係にある２種の発光色からなる第１の発光色を示し、他方は前記２種の発光色とは異なる第２の発光色を示し、
    前記第１の発光色と前記第２の発光色とを合わせた発光色を示すことを特徴とする発光装置。
  4. 前記第２の発光色は補色の関係にある２種の発光色からなり、前記第２の発光色の２種の発光色は前記第１の発光色における２種の発光色とは異なることを特徴とする請求項３に記載の発光装置。
  5. 第１の陽極と第１の陰極との間に第１の発光層を有する第１の発光素子と、第２の陽極と第２の陰極との間に第２の発光層を有する第２の発光素子とが直列に積層された発光装置であって、
    前記第１の陰極と前記第２の陽極は接しており、
    前記第１の発光素子または前記第２の発光素子のいずれか一方は、青色から青緑色の波長領域および黄色から橙色の波長領域の両方にピークを有する第１の発光スペクトルを示し、他方は前記第１の発光スペクトルとは異なる位置にピークを有する第２の発光スペクトルを示し、
    前記第１の発光スペクトルと前記第２の発光スペクトルとを合わせた発光スペクトルを示すことを特徴とする発光装置。
  6. 前記第２の発光スペクトルが、青緑色から緑色の波長領域および橙色から赤色の波長領域の両方にピークを有する発光スペクトルであることを特徴とする請求項５に記載の発光装置。
  7. 第１の陽極と第１の陰極との間に第１の発光層を有する第１の発光素子と、第２の陽極と第２の陰極との間に第２の発光層を有する第２の発光素子とが直列に積層された発光装置であって、
    前記第１の陰極と前記第２の陽極は接しており、
    前記第１の発光素子または前記第２の発光素子のいずれか一方は、４３０ｎｍ〜４８０ｎｍの波長領域および５５０ｎｍ〜６００ｎｍの波長領域の両方にピークを有する第１の発光スペクトルを示し、他方は前記第１の発光スペクトルのピークとは異なる位置にピークを有する第２の発光スペクトルを示し、前記第１の発光スペクトルと前記第２の発光スペクトルを合わせた発光スペクトルを示すことを特徴とする発光装置。
  8. 前記第２の発光スペクトルが、４８０〜５５０ｎｍの波長領域および６００ｎｍ〜６８０ｎｍの波長領域の両方にピークを有する発光スペクトルであることを特徴とする請求項７に記載の発光装置。
  9. 請求項１乃至請求項８のいずれか一項に記載の発光素子において、前記第１の発光層は、第３の発光層と、前記第３の発光層とは異なる発光色を示す第４の発光層と、を有することを特徴とする発光装置。
  10. 前記第３の発光層と前記第４の発光層が、互いに接して設けられていることを特徴とする請求項９に記載の発光装置。
  11. 請求項１乃至請求項１０のいずれか一項に記載の発光素子において、前記第２の発光層は、第５の発光層と、前記第５の発光層とは異なる発光色を示す第６の発光層と、を有することを特徴とする発光装置。
  12. 前記第５の発光層と前記第６の発光層が、互いに接して設けられていることを特徴とする請求項１１に記載の発光装置。
  13. カラーフィルターをさらに有することを特徴とする請求項１乃至請求項１２のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置。
