Abstract
【解決手段】第1の集電体9の電気抵抗が電極4の電気抵抗よりも低く、第2の集電体10の電気抵抗が対電極6の電気抵抗よりも低く、第1の集電体9および第2の集電体10が光の透過が可能な開口部を備え、半導体層5と直交する方向から、光電変換素子1の一方の面に波長550nmの光を入射させた場合に、封止部11の内部を通過して光電変換素子1の外部に透過してくる光の、入射光に対する透過率T1が0.1%以上40%以下であり、半導体層5の内部を通過して光電変換素子1の外部に透過してくる光の、入射光に対する透過率T2が0.1%以上40%以下であり、透過率T1とT2との比T1/T2が0.05以上20以下である光電変換素子とする。

本発明の光電変換素子の一例は、電極と、上記電極の一方の面に接して配置され色素が固定された半導体層と、上記半導体層を介して上記電極と対向するように配置された対電極と、上記電極と上記対電極との間に配置された電解質層と、上記電解質層を密封する封止部とを備えた光電変換素子である。
ウ化ジイミダゾリウム化合物が特に好ましい。
本発明の光電変換モジュールの一例は、実施形態1で説明した光電変換素子を複数個平面状に配置したものである。即ち、本実施形態の光電変換モジュールは、複数の光電変換部を備え、隣接する光電変換部同士の間に封止部を備えてなる光電変換モジュールであり、少なくとも、上記隣接する光電変換部同士の間にある封止部における波長550nmの光の透過率T1が0.1%以上40%以下であり、上記光電変換部における波長550nmの光の透過率T2が0.1%以上40%以下であり、上記透過率T1と上記透過率T2との比T1/T2が0.05以上20以下である。これにより、広い面積にわたり視認性に優れ、高い光電変換特性を備える光電変換モジュールを構成することができる。なお、その他の構成は、実施形態1とほぼ同様である。
以下のようにして、図1に示したものと同様の構造の光電変換素子を作製した。
電極4と対電極6との張り合わせに際して、封止材8を配置する位置に対応する電極4および対電極6の上に、銅粒子からなる銅ペーストを厚さ4μmでスクリーン印刷し、線幅20μm、開口率60%の網状の銅集電体9、10(電気抵抗:0.5Ω/sq)を設けて、銅集電体9と電極4および銅集電体10と対電極6を電気的に接続した。上記以外は実施例1と同様にして実施例2の光電変換素子を作製した。
電極4と対電極6との張り合わせに際して、銅箔からなる銅集電体9、10(電気抵抗:0.1Ω/sq)を電解質層7と接触しない形で封止材8と電極4および対電極6との間に配置して、銅集電体9と電極4および銅集電体10と対電極6を電気的に接続した。上記以外は実施例1と同様にして比較例1の光電変換素子を作製した。
電極4と対電極6との張り合わせに際して、封止材8の内部に集電体を配置しなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にして比較例2の光電変換素子を作製した。図2は、比較例2で作製した光電変換素子の概略断面図であり、図1と同じ部分には同じ符号を付けたものである。
平均一次粒子径が20nmの高純度酸化チタン粉末をエチルセルロース中に分散させ、スクリーン印刷用のペーストを作製し、これを第1のペーストとした。次に、平均一次粒子径が20nmと平均一次粒子径が400nmの高純度酸化チタン粉末とをエチルセルロース中に分させ、スクリーン印刷用のペーストを作製し、これを第2のペーストとした。

Claims (6)
- 電極と、前記電極の一方の面に接して配置され色素が固定された半導体層と、前記半導体層を介して前記電極と対向するように配置された対電極と、前記電極と前記対電極との間に配置された電解質層と、前記電解質層を密封する封止部とを備えた光電変換素子であって、
前記封止部内に、前記電極に電気的に接続された第1の集電体と、前記対電極に電気的に接続された第2の集電体とが配置され、
前記第1の集電体の電気抵抗が、前記電極の電気抵抗よりも低く、
前記第2の集電体の電気抵抗が、前記対電極の電気抵抗よりも低く、
前記第1の集電体および前記第2の集電体が、光の透過が可能な開口部を備え、
前記半導体層と直交する方向から、前記光電変換素子の一方の面に波長550nmの光を入射させた場合に、
前記封止部の内部を通過して前記光電変換素子の外部に透過してくる光の、入射光に対する透過率T1が、0.1%以上40%以下であり、
前記半導体層の内部を通過して前記光電変換素子の外部に透過してくる光の、入射光に対する透過率T2が、0.1%以上40%以下であり、
かつ、前記透過率T1とT2との比T1/T2が、0.05以上20以下であることを特徴とする光電変換素子。 - 前記第1の集電体および前記第2の集電体が、線材からなるシートおよび膜厚方向に貫通孔を設けた有孔膜から選ばれる少なくとも1種から形成されている請求項1に記載の光電変換素子。
- 前記線材が、前記シートの面内において、平行線状および格子状から選ばれるいずれか一方の形態で配列されている請求項2に記載の光電変換素子。
- 前記線材の線幅が、1μm以上1000μm以下である請求項2または3に記載の光電変換素子。
- 前記第1の集電体および前記第2の集電体の厚さが、50nm以上500μm以下である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の光電変換素子。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の光電変換素子を複数個配置したことを特徴とする光電変換モジュール。
