Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、タングステン化合物、第四級アンモニウム塩、リン酸類及び/又はホウ酸類、及び硫酸水素塩を含んでなる多成分系酸化触媒に関する。また、本発明は、上記多成分系酸化触媒の存在下、オレフィン類を過酸化水素で酸化することを特徴とする、エポキシ化合物の製造方法に関する。本発明の製造方法により得られるエポキシ化合物は、農薬又は医薬等の中間体、各種ポリマーの原料等として有用である。

Description
また、特許文献2及び特許文献3には、オレフィン化合物及び第四級アンモニウム塩を含む有機相と、タングステン化合物及びリン酸類を含む水相とからなる二相系溶液に過酸化水素を添加するオレフィン類のエポキシ化方法が記載されている。
しかしながら、これらの方法は何れも、酸化しようとする基質によっては充分な触媒活性が得られないことが多いこと、また、前者の方法においては、必須成分のα−アミノメチルホスホン酸が高価であること、などの理由から、安価で汎用性が高く、且つ触媒活性の高い、新たな酸化触媒の出現が望まれていた。
第四級アンモニウム塩は、単独又は2種以上適宜組み合わせて使用される。第四級アンモニウム塩の使用量は、タングステン1原子に対して0.1〜10倍モルの範囲であるのが好ましく、0.2〜2倍モルの範囲であるのがより好ましい。
又は一般式(II)
で示されるオレフィン類が挙げられる。
R1 、R2 、R3 及びR4 で表されるアリール基としては、例えばフェニル基、ナフチル基等が挙げられ、これらのアリール基は置換基を有していてもよい。置換基としては、例えば、前記したようなアルキル基;フッ素原子、塩素原子、臭素原子等のハロゲン原子;メトキシ基、エトキシ基、n−プロポキシ基、イソプロポキシ基、tert−ブトキシ基等のアルコキシ基;ヒドロキシ基;ニトロ基;カルボキシル基;メトキシカルボニル基、エトキシカルボニル基等のアルコキシカルボニル基;アセチル基、プロピオニル基、ベンゾイル基等のアシル基;アセトキシ基、プロピオニルオキシ基等のアシルオキシ基などが挙げられる。
R1 、R2 、R3 及びR4 で表されるアルコキシ基としては、例えばメトキシ基、エトキシ基、n−プロポキシ基、イソプロポキシ基、tert−ブトキシ基等が挙げられ、また、アシル基としては、アセチル基、プロピオニル基、ベンゾイル基等のアシル基が挙げられる。アルコキシカルボニル基としては、例えば、メトキシカルボニル基、エトキシカルボニル基等が挙げられる。
R1 、R2 、R3 及びR4 で表される複素環基としては、例えば、4〜7員ラクトン環又は4〜7員ラクタム環等が好ましいものとして挙げられる。
また、これらR5 、R6 、R7 、R8 、R9、R10、R11、R12、R13及びR14の中の何れか複数個が、それらが結合する炭素原子と一緒になって形成される環としては、脂肪族環又は芳香族環の何れでも良く、酸素原子、窒素原子、硫黄原子等のヘテロ原子を環の中に含有していてもよい脂肪族又は芳香族の複素環を形成していてもよい。
また、一般式(II)におけるR5 、R6 、R7 、R8 、R9、R10、R11、R12、R13及びR14の中の何れか複数個が、それらが結合する炭素原子と一緒になって形成される、酸素原子、窒素原子、硫黄原子等のヘテロ原子を環の中に含有していてもよいオレフィン類の具体例としては、例えば、ピネン、ノルボルネン、ボルネン、2,7,7−トリメチル−2−ノルボルネン、オクタヒドロナフタレン等のビシクロ環化合物、8−オキサビシクロ[4,3,0]−3−ノネン−7−オン、4−オキサトリシクロ[5.2.1.02,6]−8−デセン−3−オン、(7又は1)−イソプロピル−(1又は7)−メチル−4−オキサトリシクロ[5.2.2.02,6]−8−ドデセン−3−オン等のトリシクロ環化合物等が挙げられる。
本発明の製造法は用いる溶媒によって有機相と水相の2相系となる場合もあるが、そのような場合でも円滑に反応が進行する。
反応温度は、特に制限されるものではないが、過酸化水素の自己分解速度が低く抑えられ、目的物の選択率が高くなるような範囲であればよく、通常0〜90℃の範囲から選択されるが、20〜60℃がより好ましい。
反応時間は、反応温度、反応溶媒、使用原料のモル比及びその他の反応条件等により自ずから異なり極めて流動的であるが、通常数時間〜数十時間程度である。なお、その他の反応条件が同じである場合は、一般的には、反応時間が長い方が収率(転化率)が高い。
また、本発明の製造方法は、反応液中の酸性度により選択率等が向上する場合がある。好ましいpHとしては、1〜6であり、より好ましいpHは1.5〜3である。pHの調整は、必要に応じて硫酸、塩酸等の無機酸;水酸化ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウム等の無機塩基;或いはトリエチルアミン等の有機塩基で行うことができる。
このようにして得られたエポキシ化合物は、分液、蒸留、晶析及び各種クロマトグラフィー等の常法により反応混合物から分離、取得することができる。なお、これら分離・精製操作を行う前に、反応混合物を亜硫酸ナトリウム、チオ硫酸ナトリウムなどの還元剤で処理しておくことが望ましい。
なお、略号は、それぞれ以下の意味を表す。

結果を表1に示す。表中、mol%は基質のオレフィン体に対するものである。また、転化率はGCで測定した。

実施例3において、多成分系触媒成分を種々変化させた実験を行ない、それぞれ比較例1〜5とした。なお、実験操作は実施例3に準じ、反応温度は何れも50℃とした。
結果を表1に併せて示す。表中、mol%は基質のオレフィン体に対するものである。また、転化率はGCで測定した。
Claims (5)
- タングステン化合物、第四級アンモニウム塩、リン酸類及び/又はホウ酸類、及び硫酸水素塩を含んでなる多成分系酸化触媒。
- オレフィン類を過酸化水素で酸化してエポキシ化合物を製造する際に用いられる酸化触媒である、請求項1に記載の多成分系酸化触媒。
- オレフィン類が一般式(I)
又は一般式(II)
で示されるオレフィンである請求項2に記載の多成分系酸化触媒。 - 請求項1に記載の多成分系酸化触媒の存在下、オレフィン類を過酸化水素で酸化することを特徴とする、エポキシ化合物の製造方法。
