Abstract
【解決手段】 ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭に取付けるための使用手段と、ビデオ情報を表示するため支持手段に取付けた単一ディスプレーと、使用者から離れた位置に表示ビデオの拡大虚像を投映するため左右の眼の光路を有し、光路のそれぞれに使用者の眼からの光をディスプレー上の同一点に向ける少なくとも1つの導光素子と、ビデオをディスプレー上に焦点合わせし、拡大する少なくとも1つの光学素子とを含み、個々の使用者によって異なる瞳孔間の距離の約1インチまでのバラツキを自動的に補償する双眼鏡光学系とを備える。

Description
使用者の頭部にディスプレーシステムを取付けるための支持手段と;
ビデオ情報を表示するため前記支持手段に取付けられるディスプレーと;
左右それぞれの眼の中心光路を含み、前記光路のそれぞれに少なくとも1つずつの光学素子を有し、無限遠よりも手前に前記表示ビデオの拡大虚像を投映し、前記左右の眼の中心光路がこの虚像にむかって収斂するように構成された双眼鏡光学系と;
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭に取付けるための使用手段と;
ビデオ情報を表示するため前記支持手段に取付けたディスプレーと;
前記画像が使用者の左右それぞれの眼の中心視野を妨げないように、使用者から離れた位置で使用者の左右それぞれの眼の中心視野に前記ビデオの拡大像を投映し、前記支持手段と協働して使用者の左右それぞれの眼の周縁視の少なくとも一部を妨げられないように維持することにより使用者が選択的に前記虚像に焦点を合わせたり前記虚像から焦点を逸らせることができるようにする前記支持手段に取り付けられた双眼鏡光学系と;
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭部に取付けるための支持手段と;
前記支持手段に取付けたビデオ情報画像供給源と;
左右それぞれの眼の中心光路を含み、前記光路のそれぞれに少なくとも1つの光学素子を有し、無限遠よりも手前に前記画像供給源からの前記ビデオの拡大虚像を投映し、前記左右の眼の中心光路が前記虚像の見かけの位置にむかって収斂するようにした双眼鏡光学系と;
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭部に取付けるための支持手段と;
前記支持手段に取付けたビデオ情報画像供給源と;
使用者から離れた位置で使用者の左右それぞれの眼の中心視野に前記表示ビデオの拡大虚像を投映し、前記画像が前記中心視野において使用者の視界をブロックし、前記支持手段と協働して使用者の左右それぞれの眼の周縁視の少なくとも一部を妨げられない状態に維持することにより使用者が選択的に前記虚像に焦点を合わせたり前記虚像から焦点を逸らせるように前記支持手段に取付けた双眼鏡光学系と;
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
ビデオ情報を表わすビデオ出力信号を発生させるコンピュータを内蔵するキーボードハウジングと;
使用者の頭部に装着される支持手段と;
前記支持手段に取付けられ、前記キーボードと通信してビデオ情報を表示するディスプレーと;
使用者の左右それぞれの眼の中心視野中の使用者から離れた位置に前記表示ビデオの拡大画像を投映するように前記支持手段に取付けられ、前記画像が前記中心視野において使用者の視界を遮断するようにし、前記支持手段と協働して使用者の左右それぞれの眼の周縁視の下方の部分を妨げられない状態に維持することにより使用者が前記ビデオ情報の前記投映画像から視線を下方へ移すことによって前記キーボードを視認できるようにする双眼鏡光学系と;
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレー/コンピュータシステム。
Claims (15)
- ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステムにおいて、
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭に取付けるための使用手段と、
ビデオ情報を表示するため前記支持手段に取付けた単一ディスプレーと、
使用者から離れた位置に前記表示ビデオの拡大虚像を投映するため左右の眼の光路を有し、前記光路のそれぞれに使用者のそれぞれの眼からの光を該光路に沿って伸びるようにディスプレー上の同一点に向ける少なくとも1つの導光素子と、ビデオを前記ディスプレー上に焦点合わせし、拡大する少なくとも1つの光学素子とを含み、個々の使用者によって異なる瞳孔間の距離の約1インチまでのバラツキを自動的に補償する双眼鏡光学系と、
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。 - 前記光路のそれぞれに配置した少なくとも一つの前記導光素子がプリズムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記光路のそれぞれに配置した少なくとも一つの前記導光素子がミラーであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 少なくとも一つの前記焦点合わせ拡大光学素子が凹面レフレクタであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記レフレクタが半透明であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 少なくとも一つの前記焦点合わせ拡大光学素子がレンズであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステムにおいて、
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭部に取付けるための支持手段と、
前記支持手段に取付けたビデオ情報画像供給源と、
使用者から離れた位置に前記表示ビデオの拡大虚像を投映するため、左右両眼の光路を有し、前記光路のそれぞれに使用者の眼からディスプレー上の同一点にむかって光を向ける少なくとも1つの導光素子と、前記ディスプレー上にビデオを焦点合わせし、拡大する少なくとも1つの光学素子とを含み、個々の使用者によって異なる瞳孔間の距離の約1インチまでのバラツキを自動的に補償する双眼鏡光学系と、
を備えたことを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。 - ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステムにおいて、
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭部に取付けるための支持手段と、
右眼光路中で前記支持手段に取付けた第1プリズムと、
左眼光路中で前記支持手段に取付けた第2プリズムと、
ビデオ情報を表示するため前記支持手段に取付けた少なくとも一つのディスプレーと、
前記左右両眼光路のそれぞれに設けて使用者から離れた位置に前記ビデオの拡大像を投映するように形成されたレフレクタと、
を備え、前記第1及び第2プリズムが使用者の左右両眼光路を屈折させて互いに収斂させ、各光路中の前記レフレクタがそれぞれの光路に沿って進む光を前記ディスプレー上の同一点に焦点合わせすることを特徴とするヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。 - 前記レフレクタが半反射形であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記レフレクタが前記左右両眼光路の双方と交差する単一光学素子であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記第1及び第2プリズムを一体化して単一光学素子としたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記ディスプレーを前記レフレクタと対向するように前記支持手段に取付けたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記ディスプレーが左旋回液晶ディスプレーであることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 前記ビデオを前記画像拡大レフレクタへ反射する非拡大レフレクタと対向するように前記ディスプレーを前記支持手段に取付けたことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
- 単眼鏡用ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステムにおいて、
ディスプレーシステムを使用者の頭部に取付けるための支持手段と、
右眼光路中で前記支持手段に取付けた第1プリズムと、
左眼光路中で前記支持手段に取付けた第2プリズムと、
ビデオ情報を表示するため前記支持手段に取付けた単一のディスプレーと、
前記左右両眼光路のそれぞれに沿って前記支持手段に取付けられ、前記第1及び第2プリズムによって使用者の眼から前記左右両眼光路を屈折させて互いに収斂させ、前記左右両眼光路に沿って進む光を前記ディスプレー上の同一点に焦点合わせして使用者から離れた位置に前記ビデオの拡大画像を投映するように形成したレフレクタと、
前記ディスプレーの第1側の近傍または前記ディスプレーの前記第1側とは反対の第2側の近傍に取付けることがてきる遮光素子と、を備え、
前記遮光素子が該素子の取付け位置に近いディスプレーの側からレフレクタにまで達して前記ディスプレーからの光が使用者の一方の眼に入射するのを阻止することにより右眼が優勢な使用者及び左眼が優勢な使用者のための単眼鏡用ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステムを提供する、
ことを特徴とする単眼鏡用ヘッド装着ディスプレーシステム。
