Abstract
【構成】 本発明の結晶化ガラス物品は、肉厚が10mm以下の結晶化ガラス物品であって、軟化点よりも高い温度で熱処理すると軟化変形しながら表面から内部に向かって針状の結晶が析出する性質を有するガラス小体Aの多数個と、軟化点よりも高い温度で熱処理すると軟化変形しながら表面から内部に向かって針状の結晶が析出する性質を有し、ガラス小体Aよりも熱処理後の結晶化度が低いガラス小体Bの多数個とが融着一体化して結晶を析出してなり、ガラス小体A及びガラス小体Bの平均粒径が2mm以下であることを特徴とする。

Description
まず、質量%でSiO2 59.0%、Al2 O3 7.0%、CaO 18.0%、ZnO 6.5%、BaO 4.6%、B2 O3 0.6%、Na2 O 2.0%、K2 O 1.0%、Li2 O 1.0%、Sb2 O3 0.3%の組成になるように調合したガラス原料混合物を、1400〜1500℃で16時間溶融した。次いでこの溶融ガラスを水中に投下して水砕した後、得られた水砕物を分級して粒径2mm以下、(平均粒径1mm)のガラス小体Aを得た。このガラス小体Aは、熱処理すると、主結晶としてβ−ウオラストナイトを析出し、結晶化度が30質量%、厚さ1mmにおける平均透過率が23%の白色の結晶化ガラスとなるものである。
ガラス小体A80質量%とガラス小体B20質量%を混合し、肉厚を8mmに作製した以外は、実施例1と同様にして結晶化ガラス物品を得た。
ガラス小体A20質量%とガラス小体B80質量%を混合し、肉厚を3mmに作製した以外は、実施例1と同様にして結晶化ガラス物品を得た。
ガラス小体A100質量%を使用した以外は、実施例1と同様にして比較例の結晶化ガラス物品を作製した。
粒径が2〜5mm、(平均粒径3.5mm)のガラス小体A60質量%及び粒径が2〜5mm、(平均粒径3.5mm)のガラス小体Bを混合した以外は、実施例1と同様にして結晶化ガラス物品を作製した。
Claims (4)
- 肉厚が10mm以下の結晶化ガラス物品であって、軟化点よりも高い温度で熱処理すると軟化変形しながら表面から内部に向かって針状の結晶が析出する性質を有するガラス小体Aの多数個と、軟化点よりも高い温度で熱処理すると軟化変形しながら表面から内部に向かって針状の結晶が析出する性質を有し、ガラス小体Aよりも熱処理後の結晶化度が低いガラス小体Bの多数個とが融着一体化して結晶を析出してなり、ガラス小体A及びガラス小体Bの平均粒径が2mm以下である結晶化ガラス物品。
- ガラス小体Aの熱処理後の結晶化度とガラス小体Bの熱処理後の結晶化度との差が5質量%以上である請求項1に記載の結晶化ガラス物品。
- ガラス小体Aに対するガラス小体Bの質量比率が10〜1000%である請求項1又は2に記載の結晶化ガラス物品。
- ガラス小体Bにより形成された部分がガラス小体Aにより形成された部分よりも光を透過しやすく、前記ガラス小体Bにより形成された部分が、厚さ1mmにおいて35%以上の可視光の平均透過率を有する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の結晶化ガラス物品。
