Abstract
【解決手段】コリメータは、適当な任意の高密度で高原子番号の材料から製作することができ、必要とする確度に合わせたコリメータの高精度の鋳造を可能にする特殊設計のチャンネル(211、213)及びベーン(210、212)が提供される。チャンネル及びベーンは、テーパ付きとすることが好ましく、コリメータ及びフィルタ/コリメータ・アセンブリは、散乱放射生成メカニズムを最小限にすること、患者が受けることになる散乱放射の多くをコリメータ除去することによって、患者に対するX線線量を最小限にする。コリメータは、単一片構造、あるいは互いに動作可能に接続させることができる多重片のいずれかとして鋳造することができる。

Claims (14)
- CTイメージング・システム(10)用のコリメータ(200)であって、
所定の形状のチャンネル(211、213)を所定の厚さのチャンネル壁(210、212)間に延びるようにして備えている鋳造プロセスを介して製作した2次元ハニカム構造であって、所定の精度要件を満足することができる2次元ハニカム構造、
を備えるコリメータ。 - プリペイシェント・コリメータとして利用されると共に、これと動作可能に結合させたフィルタをさらに備える請求項1に記載のコリメータ。
- 前記フィルタが前記2次元ハニカム構造のチャンネル内に動作可能に位置決めした3次元インサートを含む、請求項2に記載のコリメータ。
- 前記フィルタが適当な高密度で高原子番号の材料を含む、請求項3に記載のコリメータ。
- 前記適当な高密度高原子番号材料が、鉛、鉛合金、タンタル、タングステン、エポキシ・マトリックス内に懸濁させたタングステン、及びスラリー内に懸濁させたタングステンのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項4に記載のコリメータ。
- ポストペイシェント・コリメータとして利用される請求項1に記載のコリメータ。
- 前記チャンネルの所定の形状が、矩形、円形、長円形、台形、六角形及び正方形のうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項6に記載のコリメータ。
- コリメータのX線入射表面(216)近傍の第1のアパーチャがコリメータのX線射出表面(215)近傍の第2のアパーチャと比べてより大きく作成されるように前記チャンネルにテーパを付けている、請求項6に記載のコリメータ。
- CTイメージング・システムのプリペイシェント・フィルタ/コリメータ・アセンブリで使用するためのフィルタであって、X線放射を吸収することができる適当な高密度で高原子番号の材料を含むフィルタ。
- 前記適当な高密度高原子番号材料が、鉛、鉛合金、タンタル、タングステン、エポキシ・マトリックス内に懸濁させたタングステン、及びスラリー内に懸濁させたタングステンのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項9に記載のフィルタ。
- CTイメージング・システムで使用するためのプリペイシェント・フィルタ/コリメータ・アセンブリであって、
フィルタ・コンポーネントと
コリメータ・コンポーネント(200)と、を備えると共に、
前記フィルタ・コンポーネントが前記コリメータ・コンポーネントと動作可能に結合されており、かつ前記コリメータ・コンポーネントが、所定の形状のチャンネル(211、213)を所定の厚さのチャンネル壁(210、212)間に延びるようにして備えた2次元ハニカム構造を備えている、プリペイシェント・フィルタ/コリメータ・アセンブリ。 - CTイメージング・システムで使用するためのポストペイシェント・コリメータであって、
所定の形状のチャンネル(211、213)を所定の厚さのチャンネル壁(210、212)間に延びるようにして備えている2次元ハニカム構造であって、所定の精度要件を満足することができる2次元ハニカム構造、
を備えるポストペイシェント・コリメータ。 - 鋳造プロセスを介して製作されている請求項12に記載のポストペイシェント・コリメータ。
- コリメータのX線入射表面(216)近傍の第1のアパーチャがコリメータのX線射出表面(215)近傍の第2のアパーチャと比べてより大きく作成されるように前記チャンネルにテーパを付けている、請求項12に記載のポストペイシェント・コリメータ。
