P2の反応性に関連するようである、より低いMWおよびpI値を有する多数の

ク質S1)を認識した;8つ(47%)がスポット10(EF−Tu)を認識し
た;7つ(41%)がスポット15(HtrA(S2Cペプチダーゼ)ファミリ
ーの推定ストレス誘導性プロテアーゼ)を認識した;そして7つの血清(41%
)がスポット12(リボソームタンパク質L7/L12)を認識した。この研究
において使用した血清の群において、12/17(76%)がこれらの5つの抗
原(hsp60抗原およびhsp70抗原を含む)と反応し、そして全ての血清
が1と7との間(平均3.7個)のクラミジアタンパク質(他の細菌においてホ
モログを有する)と反応する抗体を有した。
sp60 GroEL様抗原に関して記載される[29]ように、実際には、他
のいくつかの共通する細菌抗原(この細菌抗原は、他の細菌感染に置いて免疫原
性であり得る)に拡張されるべきである。例えば、タンパク質伸長因子EF−T
uは、Haemophilus influenzaeの感染の急性期の間に免
疫原性であり、そしてL7/L12およびHtrAストレス誘導性プロテアーゼ
ホモログの両方がBrucella感染において免疫原性である。EF−Tuの
場合において、細菌細胞におけるこのタンパク質の豊富さは、免疫系によるその
「注目度(visibility)」に好都合であり得る。しかし、EF−Tu
が外膜およびペリプラズム細胞画分に関連すると記載され[30]、そしてより
最近では、データにより、ペプチド伸長におけるその機能に加えて、EF−Tu
がタンパク質折り畳みに関与するシャペロン活性およびストレスからの防御もま
た有することが示唆される[31]ことに注意すべきである。L7/L12リボ
ソームタンパク質に対する応答は特に興味を引く。なぜなら、Brucella
melitensis感染において、相同なL7/L12抗原は、DTH細胞
媒介応答を誘導する[27]からである。さらに、BALB/CマウスにL7/
L12を用いてワクチン接種することは、B.abortusによる感染に対す
る防御を与えることが示された[32]。L7/L12に対する抗体がC.tr
achomatisに感染した患者においてかなり頻繁に存在するというこの予
測外の知見は、おそらく、クラミジア誘導性疾患においてもまた、この抗原に対
してさらなる注意が払われるべきであることを示唆する。
