Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 物質の粒子を形成するための方法であって、(a)温度及び圧力の管理さ れた粒子形成チャンバーの中に第一超臨界流体とビヒクル中の当該物質の溶液又 は懸濁物とを導入し;(b)同時に、当該粒子形成チャンバーの中に第二超臨界 流体の衝突フローを前記第一超臨界流体のフロー方向に対して斜め方向に、且つ それに向けて導入し;そして(c)前記第一及び第二超臨界流体の一方又は双方 を用い、実質的に同時に、且つ実質的に前記粒子形成チャンバーの中への当該流 体の導入の直後に、前記溶液又は懸濁物を分散させ、且つ前記ビヒクルをその溶 液又は懸濁物から抽出する;ことを含んで成る方法。 2. 前記第一及び第二超臨界流体フローが実質的に互いに対して対立方向に向 けられている、請求項1記載の方法。 3. 前記第一超臨界流体のフロー方向と前記溶液又は懸濁物のフロー方向が実 質的に平行である、先の請求項のいずれか1項記載の方法。 4. 前記第一超臨界流体のフロー方向と前記溶液又は懸濁物のフロー方向が同 軸上にある、請求項3記載の方法。 5. 前記溶液又は懸濁物を前記第一超臨界流体のフローに対して斜め方向で導 入する、請求項1又は2記載の方法。 6. 前記第一及び第二超臨界流体が同じものである、先の請求項のいずれか1 項記載の方法。 7. 前記溶液/懸濁物の流速、対、各超臨界流体の流速の比が0.001〜0.2であ る、先の請求項のいずれか1項記載の方法。 8. 前記粒子形成チャンバー内での粒子形成後のその回収を更に包括する、先 の請求項のいずれか1項記載の方法。 9. 実質的に連続式に実施する、先の請求項のいずれか1項記載の方法。 10.物質の粒子形成の方法において利用するための装置であって、粒子形成チ ャンバー;当該チャンバー内の温度を所望のレベルに管理するための手段;当該 チャンバー内の圧力を所望のレベルに管理するための手段;第一超臨界流体及び ビヒクル中の注目の物質の溶液又は懸濁物を当該チャンバーに導入するための第 一流体入口手段;並びに第二超臨界流体の衝突フローを、前記第一超臨界流体フ ローに対して斜め方向で、且つそれに向けて同時に導入するための第二流体入口 手段;を含んで成り、ここで当該装置は前記溶液又は懸濁物の分散と、前記ビヒ クルの抽出とが2つの超臨界流体の一方又は双方の作用により、実質的に同時に 、且つ実質的に前記粒子形成チャンバーへの当該流体の導入の直後に起こること を可能にする装置。 11.前記第一流体入口手段が前記第一超臨界流体及び前記溶液又は懸濁物の実 質的に平行方向での同時導入を可能にする、請求項10記載の装置。 12.前記第一流体入口手段が前記第一超臨界流体及び前記溶液又は懸濁物の同 軸上での同時導入を可能にする、請求項11記載の装置。 13.前記第二流体入口手段が前記第二超臨界流体の、前記第一超臨界流体のフ ロー方向に対して実質的に対立する方向での導入を可能にする、請求項10〜12の いずれか1項記載の装置。 14.前記第一及び第二流体入口手段が第一及び第二ノズルをそれぞれ含んで成 る、請求項10〜13のいずれか1項記載の装置。 15.前記第一流体入口手段が2個のノズルを含んで成り、一方は前記第一超臨 界流体の導入のためであり、そして他方は前記溶液又 は懸濁物の導入のためであり、互いに対して適正な角度で配置されている、請求 項10〜14のいずれか1項記載の装置。 16.前記第一及び第二流体入口手段が共に、全ての流体を前記粒子形成チャン バーに導入するために利用する単独流体入口アセンブリの一部を構成している、 請求項10〜15のいずれか1項記載の装置。 17.前記流体入口アセンブリが: a)2本以上の同軸通路を有する一次ノズル、これを介して前記第一超臨界流 体のフロー及び前記溶液又は懸濁物のフローが導入されうる;並びに b)前記一次ノズル通路に対して斜め方向の少なくとも1本の通路を有する二 次ノズル、その二次ノズル通路を介して前記第二超臨界流体のフローが導入され うる;こで当該一次及び二次ノズル通路の出口は、二次ノズルを通過する超臨界 流体が一次ノズルを通過する超臨界流体に衝突することができるように配置され ている、 請求項16記載の装置。 18.前記二次ノズル通路が前記一次ノズル通路と同軸上にあるが、対立方向を 向いており、これにより当該二次ノズル通路の出口端が当該一次ノズル通路の出 口端と対面している、請求項17記載の装置。 19.前記一次ノズル通路が、少なくとも一の流体が他の流体と接触する直前に 事前膜形成できるタイプのものである、請求項17又は18記載の装置。 20.前記一次ノズルの内部通路の出口が1又は複数の周囲外部通路の上流又は 下流にある、請求項17〜19のいずれか1項記載の装置。 21.前記二次ノズルが2本以上の同軸通路を含んで成る、請求項 17〜20のいずれか1項記載の装置。 22.前記二次ノズル通路が、少なくとも一の流体が他の流体と接触する直前に 事前膜形成できるタイプのものである、請求項21記載の装置。 23.前記流体入口アセンブリが前記第一と第二ノズル出口との間に位置する中 間チャンバーを含んで成り、そのチャンバー内で流体が出会い、そして相互作用 できうる、請求項17〜22のいずれか1項記載の装置。 24.前記中間チャンバーが流体及び/又はそれから形成される粒子を流体が出 会う地点から遠ざける形状となっている、請求項23記載の装置。 25.前記中間チャンバーが前記第一及び第二ノズル通路に対してほぼ垂直方向 にあり、そして使用の際、下方向を向いており、重力が粒状製品のノズル出口領 域からの移動に寄与できるようになっている、請求項23又は24記載の装置。 26.本明細書及び図面に記載の物質の粒子の形成のための方法。 27.本明細書及び図面に記載の物質の粒子の形成の方法に使用する装置。 28.請求項17〜25又は27のいずれか1項記載の装置において利用するための流 体入口アセンブリ。 29.請求項1〜9もしくは26のいずれか1項記載の方法及び/又は請求項10〜 25もしくは27のいずれか1項記載の装置を利用して形成した粒状製品。
