Abstract
621,785. Spray-producers. SOC. ANON. TECO. Aug. 22, 1945, Nos. 21494 and 21495. Convention dates, July 27, 1943 and Oct. 21, 1943. [Class 69 (iii)] An aerosol is produced by at least two jets directed towards one another, the jets delivering either liquid only or a mixture of liquid and gas (e.g. air), or gas only. In Fig. 1, each orifice 7 delivers a spray of liquid and gas from a mixing chamber, the gas being supplied from a nozzle 2 to induce liquid up a dipping tube 5 from a reservoir 6. In Fig. 2, liquid only is delivered by air pressure 11 on the liquid in the closed reservoir 10, the nozzle having an adjustable needle 8. Three or more jets may impinge against each other, those in Fig. 5 being arranged with their jet axes tangential to a circle B, thus giving a combined whirling spray. The jets are movable for relative adjustment.
