Abstract

604,560. Spray-producers. AKTIEBOLAGET ATLAS DIESEL, and BJORKMAN, G. E. Nov. 27, 1945, No. 32014. [Class 69 (iii)] A spray head for spraying liquid such as paint &c. by means of a compressed gas has a mixing chamber having an inlet nozzle 2 for the liquid and an outlet nozzle 10 for the spray between which the gas is introduced into the chamber by a series of at least three ducts 11, 12 uniformly distributed round the path of the liquid stream. The liquid, which is fed to the spray head at 5 is controlled by a needle valve 7. The compressed gas enters at 13, passes through an equalizer 17 in a chamber 14, and then leaves by the ducts 11, 12 which may be arranged in one or more circles or else spirally around the cylindrical portion of the mixing chamber. The spray jet 10 is slot shaped and the assembly is secured by a clamping ring 16.
