Abstract

1360551 Spray guns ATLAS COPCO AB 4 July 1972 [4 Aug 1971] 31229/72 Heading B2F In a spray gun, gas discharges from a mouth 16 and impinges on a deflector 28. Material to be sprayed passes from an inlet 12 to an annular passage 26, under the control of a needle valve 13, and from there passes through grooves 22 into an annular chamber 25 formed between the end of the portion 19 and an annular deflecting surface 23 formed on the portion 20 so that the material is entrained by the gas flow. A surrounding annular orifice 38 is controllably supplied with gas to modify the spray outlet. The material may be electrically charged by an electrode 51 or a plurality of electrodes 52.
