- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.酸素側と燃料側を持つ中心膜、膜の燃料側と酸素側に配置された電極を含む 一つの燃料電池装置であって、ここで各電極が更に、中心膜に蒸着された第1燃 料触媒フィルム層、触媒フィルム層に蒸着された金属フィルム層、および金属フ ィルム層に配置された疎水性フィルム層、触媒フィルム層と中心膜の間の間隙部 に配設された電解質、電極の間に差し挟まれた水素透過性無孔金属膜、第1水循 環を持つ中心膜、燃料側の電極上部に配置された燃料循環調節膜、第1水循環お よび調節膜上部に配置され燃料側の電極にシールされた燃料チャンネルフローマ ニホールド、燃料マニホールドと第1水循環調節膜の間の領域に燃料を送達する ために燃料マニホールドに接続された燃料入口、酸素側の電極下部に配置された 第2水循環調節膜、第2水循環調節膜下部に配置され酸素側の電極にシールされ た酸化剤ガスマニホールド、および酸化剤ガスを送達するために酸化剤マニホー ルドに接続された酸化剤ガス入口、水素電極に接続された第1電気接触子および 酸素電極に接続された第2電気触し、ならびに電池の外縁部のまわりに伸びまた それに、接続されたシーリングリムを含む燃料電池装置。 2.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで中心膜が多孔誘電膜である ことを特徴とする装置。 3.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に燃料電池に取り付けられる燃 料ボトルを含むことを特徴とする装置。 4.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置てあって、更に電池を囲むハウジングを含む ことを特徴とする装置。 5.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に電気エネルギーを送達するた めに電極に取り付けられたエネルギー源を含むことを特徴とする装置。 6.請求の範囲第5項に記載の装置であって、ここでエネルギー源が電圧調節エ レクトロニクスであることを特徴とする装置。 7.請求の範囲第5項に記載の装置であって、ここでエネルギー源がバッテリー であることを特徴とする装置。 8.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで中心膜が繊維で強化される ことを特徴とする装置。 9.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで中心膜が少なくとも2個の 膜を含むことを特徴とする装置。 10.請求の範囲第3項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料ボトルが燃料電池と の燃料接続を実行するためのニードルインサートを含むことを特徴とする装置。 11.請求の範囲第3項に記載の装置であって、更に燃料ボトルから蒸発マニホ ールドに燃料を吐出するための蒸発マニホールドを含むことを特徴とする装置。 12.請求の範囲第4項に記載の装置であって、更に膜の一つの側に電極を含み 、また膜の折り重ねが燃料側および酸素側のため、更に燃料電池に形成されるよ うに互いに対向して電極を配置するためであることを特徴とする装置。 13.請求の範囲第12項に記載の装置であって、更に膜の折り重ねに差し挟ま れた電解質と膜を含むことを特徴とする装置。 14.請求の範囲第12項に記載の装置であって、更に膜の折り重ねに差し挟ま れた電解質を含むことを特徴とする装置。 15.請求の範囲第12項に記載の装置であって、更に膜の折り重ねに差し挟ま れた膜を含むことを特徴とする装置。 16.請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置であって、更に電解物性を高めるために多 孔誘電性基板膜に顕微鏡的幾何学形成法を含むことを特徴とする装置。 17.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に種の幾何学的設計あるいは 化学的性質に基づき、イオン輸送に関して異なった分子種を選択的に遮断するた めに電解質に差し挟まれた追加の部材を含むことを特徴とする装置。 18.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料が水素搬送化合物で あることを特徴とする装置。 19.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料が燃料電池電極によ り電気触媒的に使用される水素搬送化合物であることを特徴とする装置。 20.請求の範囲第18項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料が燃料電池電極に 到達する前に改質されることを特徴とする装置。 21.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電極と酸素電極の間 に差し挟まれた水素透過無孔金属膜が燃料電極に電気接続されることを特徴とす る装置。 22.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電極と酸素電極の間 に差し挟まれた水素透過無孔金属膜が酸化剤電極に電気接続されることを特徴と する装置。 23.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に多孔基板上に多重電極と電 解質層を持つ電極を含むことを特徴とする装置。 24.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に電池の電気的分離のために フィルムの表面に蒸着物を含むことを特徴とする装置。 25.請求の範囲第24項に記載の装置であって、ここで蒸着物がインキジェッ トプリンティング蒸着物を含むことを特徴とする装置。 26.請求の範囲第24項に記載の装置であって、ここで蒸着物が塗料を含むこ とを特徴とする方法。 27.請求の範囲第24項に記載の装置であって、ここで蒸着物が化学蒸気蒸着 、写真製版、真空蒸着あるいは電気化学蒸着よるなるグループから選択される方 法により蒸着される蒸気を含むことを特徴とする装置。 28.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に電極のパルス清浄化のため 、燃料電池の性能を維持するため、また燃料電池の同一または対向極性内で電圧 を変更するために、燃料電池に電気接続された電圧調節エレクトロニクスを含む ことを特徴とする装置。 29.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更にバッテリーに適合する形状 およびバッテリーの現存する用途に付合する電気的形状を持つ燃料電池を含むこ とを特徴とする装置。 30.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電池が内部に燃料を 持ちまた外部に空気を持つ薄い袋であること を特徴とする装置。 31.請求の範囲第30項に記載の装置であって、更に排出ガスが拡散し燃料ガ スが保持されることを可能にするために袋上に援護膜を含むことを特徴とする装 置。 32.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電池が少なくとも2 個の背中合わせの燃料電池アセンブリーを持つことを特徴とする装置。 33.請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料ボトルが燃料の取り 替え可能密封アンプルであることを特徴とする装置。 34.請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置であって、更に交流、任意波動関数、およ び定常電圧を含む望ましい電圧と電流の特性を産出するように、燃料電池の電圧 と電流産出を調節するために燃料電圧に接続されたエレクトロニクスを含むこと を特徴とする装置。 35.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に無孔金属膜により分離され た少なくとも2個の異なった電解質を含むことを特徴とする装置。 36.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで無孔金属膜が基板の孔に 栓をするために多孔基板に蒸着される材料の少なくとも1個のフィルムを含むこ とを特徴とする装置。 37.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで元素の周期率表からの少 なくと1個の遷移元素を含むことを特徴とする装置。 38.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に燃料電極 を形成する少なくとも2個の電極を含み、それぞれは基本電極および表面レプリ カ電極を含み、電極はスパッタリング、真空蒸発、粉体インクスプレー、ゼログ ラティー、低圧ガス蒸気蒸着、化学蒸気蒸着、電気めっき、写真製版、あるいは 同時蒸着材料の蒸着技術により形成されることを特徴とする装置。 39.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電池がエレクトロニ クス製品を駆動するために適合されることを特徴とする装置。 40.請求の範囲第39項に記載の装置であって、ここでエレクトロニクス製品 がセル電話、ポータブルラジオ、ポータブルコンピュータ、ビーパー、ポータブ ルオーディオ設備、補聴器、医療用機器、あるいはポータブルエレクトロニクス よりなるグループから選択されることを特徴とする装置。 41.請求の範囲第36項に記載の装置であって、ここで多孔性基板物質が横方 向へのブロッティングよりも線引インクと溶媒を垂直に使用することにより物質 の平面に対して垂直に平行した多孔を持つことを特徴とする装置。 42.請求の範囲第41項に記載の装置であって、ここでインクを持つ物質が溶 媒で粉体であることを特徴とする装置。 43.請求の範囲第41項に記載の装置であって、ここで物質が基板に送達され た後に電極フィルムに変化する材質を含むことを特徴とする装置。 44.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで電解質が電解質を通じる 横方向伝導を防ぐため、また電気短絡を防ぐために平行にされることを特徴とす る装置。 45.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料電池が異なったポテ ンシャルを持つ単一膜上で並んでいる非二極性燃料電池シリーズ電池を含むこと を特徴とする装置。 46.請求の範囲第45項に記載の装置であって、ここで電解質が横方向に影響 する燃料電池電極性能から無孔膜ピンホール欠陥漏れを閉じ込めるために平行に されることを特徴とする装置。 47.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に燃料電池に入る空気を加湿 加熱するために水熱対向流熱交換器を含むことを特徴とする装置。 48.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで電極がバルク導体金属の 使用を最適化するために先細厚みを持つことを特徴とする装置。 49.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に燃料タンクから液体燃料を 吸上げる灯芯を含み、灯芯が燃料を蒸発させ燃料電池で燃料を凝縮することを特 徴とする装置。 50.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料が直接炭化水素電気 触媒酸化のためまた水素を燃料電池に放出するために水と炭化水素の化学量的混 合物を含むことを特徴とする装置。 51.請求の範囲第31項に記載の装置であって、ここで燃料がメタノールと水 の1:1混合物を含み、またここで排出二酸化炭素製品が二酸化炭素透過性でメ タノールと水には不透過である膜を通してガスとして存在することを特徴とする 装置。 52.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に選択され だ分子種を排除し他のものの通過を可能にするために燃料電池電極に近接して選 択的透過膜を含むことを特徴とする装置。 53.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置であって、更に選択された分子種を排除し 多のものの通過を可能にするためガスマニホールドの部分として形成された選択 的透過膜を含むことを特徴とする装置。
