Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.人のユーザによる手の接触を検出し、制御対象装置の活性化が可能な低イン ピーダンス・タッチ・センサであって、 第1および第2の対向する表面を有し、ほぼ均一な厚さの誘電体基板と、 前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、人の付属器官によってほぼ全体が覆わ れる領域を有する、閉じた連続幾何学的形状の第1の薄い導電性電極パッドと、 前記基板の第1表面上に配置され、前記第1電極パッドに対して、離間され、 共通面にあり、ほぼ包囲する関係にある第2の薄い導電性電極と、 前記第1および第2電極に隣接して前記基板上に配置され、前記第1および第 2電極に電気的に結合され、前記基板の人の接触によって前記制御対象装置を活 性化するようにした能動電気素子と、 から成るタッチ・センサ。 2.前記基板の前記第1表面上にストローブ線が配置され、前記第2電極に電気 的に結合されている請求項1の装置。 3.前記ストローブ線にストローブ信号が印加され、前記ストローブ信号は前記 第1および第2電極間に電界を生成する請求項2の装置。 4.前記電界は、前記第2電極から発し、前記第1電極で終端する円弧状経路を 有する請求項3の装置。 5.更に、前記第1および第2電極に隣接して前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置 されたセンス線を含む請求項1の装置。 6.前記タッチ・センサは、前記センス線上に、前記タッチ・センサのステータ スを示す検出信号を発生する請求項5の装置。 7.前記検出信号は検出回路によって受け取られ、前記検出回路はピーク検出器 を含む請求項6の装置。 8. 前記検出信号のレベルは、前記基板が前記ユーザの前記付属器官によって 接触されると変化する請求項6の装置。 9.前記基板の前記第1表面は非接触表面であり、前記基板の前記第2表面は接 触表面である請求項1の装置。 10.前記基板はガラスである請求項1の装置。 11.前記基板はプラスチックである請求項1の装置。 12.前記第1および第2電極間にチャネルが配置され、前記チャネルは全体的 に均一な幅を有する請求項1の装置。 13.複数の前記タッチ・センサが前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置されている 請求項1の装置。 14.複数の前記タッチ・センサが前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、行お よび列のマトリクスに配列されている請求項1の装置。 15.前記タッチ・センサの前記列に共通ストローブ線が電気的に結合され、前 記タッチ・センサの行に共通センス線が電気的に結合されている請求項14の装 置。 16.人のユーザによる手の接触を検出し、制御対象装置の活性化が可能な低イ ンピーダンス・タッチ・センサであって、 誘電体担体と、 前記担体上に配置され、人の付属器官によってほぼ全体が覆われる領域を有す る閉じた連続幾何学的形状の第1の薄い導電性電極パッドと、 前記第1電極に対し離間されほぼ包囲する関係で、前記担体上に配置された第 2の薄い導電性電極と、 前記第1および第2電極に隣接して前記担体上に配置され、前記第1および第 2電極に電気的に結合された能動電気素子と、 第1および第2の対向する表面を有する誘電体基板であって、前記誘電体担体 が前記誘電体基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、前記基板の人の接触が前記制御 対象装置を活性化させるようにした前記誘電体基板と、 から成るタッチ・センサ。 17.前記基板の前記第1表面は非接触表面であり、前記基板の前記第2表面は 接触表面であり、前記誘電体担体は前記基板の前記第2表面上に配置されている 請求項16の装置。 18.人のユーザによる手の接触を検出し、制御対象装置の活性化が可能な低イ ンピーダンス・タッチ・センサであって、 第1および第2の対向する表面を有し、ほぼ均一な厚さの誘電体基板と、 前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、人の付属器官によってほぼ全体が覆わ れる領域を有する閉じた連続幾何学的形状の第1の薄い導電性電極パッドと、 前記第1電極に対して、離間されほぼ包囲する関係で前記基板の前記第1表面 上に配置された第2の薄い導電性電極と、 前記第1および第2電極に隣接して前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、前 記第1および第2電極に電気的に結合され、前記基板の人の接触が前記制御対象 装置を活性化させるようにしたトランジスタと、 から成るタッチ・センサ。 19.前記トランジスタはPNPトランジスタである請求項18の装置。 20.更に、前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、前記第1および第2電極間 に電気的に結合されている抵抗を含む請求項18の装置。 21.更に、前記第1および第2電極に隣接して、前記基板の前記第1表面上に 配置されたセンス線を含む請求項18の装置。 22.前記トランジスタは、ベース、コレクタおよびエミッタを有し、前記トラ ンジスタのベースは前記第1電極に接続され、前記トランジスタのコレクタは前 記センス線に接続され、前記トランジスタのエミッタは前記第2電極に接続され ている請求項18の装置。 23.複数の前記タッチ・センサが前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置されている 請求項18記載の装置。 24.前記タッチ・センサは、前記センス線上に、前記タッチ・センサのステー タスを示す検出信号を発生する請求項21の装置。 25.前記検出信号のレベルは、前記基板が前記ユーザの前記付属器官によって 接触されると変化する請求項24の装置。 26.人のユーザによる手の接触を検出し、制御対象装置の活性化が可能な複数 のタッチ・パッドであって、 第1および第2の対向する表面を有し、ほぼ均一な厚さの誘電体基板と、 周縁を有し、基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、人の付属器官によってほぼ全 体が覆われる領域を有する閉じた連続幾何学的形状の第1の薄い導電性電極パッ ドと、 前記第1電極に対して離間された関係で前記基板の前記第1表面上に配置され た第2の薄い導電性電極であって、隣接するタッチ・パッドを有する周縁上で前 記第1電極を包囲する前記第2電極と、 から成るタッチ・パッド。 27.更に、前記基板の前記第2表面上に配置され、前記第2電極に電気的に結 合されたストローブ線を含む請求項26の装置。 28.前記ストローブ線にストローブ信号が印加され、前記第2および第2電極 間に電界を生成する請求項27の装置。 29.前記電界は、隣接するタッチ・パッドによって生成される電界とは逆方向 である請求項28の装置。 30.更に、前記第1および第2電極に隣接して前記基板の前記第1表面上に配 置されたセンス線を含み、前記タッチ・センサは前記センス線上に検出信号を発 生する請求項26の装置。 31.前記基板の前記第1表面は非接触表面であり、前記基板の前記第2表面は 接触面である請求項26の装置。 32.人のユーザによる手の接触を検出し、制御対象装置の活性化が可能な複数 のタッチ・パッドであって、 誘電体担体と、 周縁を有し、前記担体上に配置され、人の付属器官によってほぼ全体が覆われ る領域を有する閉じた連続幾何学的形状の第1の薄い導電性電極パッドと、 前記第1電極に対して離間された関係で前記担体上に配置された第2の薄い導 電性電極であって、隣接するタッチ・パッドを有する周縁上で前記第1電極を包 囲する前記第2電極と、 第1および第2の対向する表面を有する誘電体基板であって、前記担体が前記 誘電体基板の前記第1表面上に配置され、前記基板の人の接触が前記制御対象装 置を活性化させるようにした前記誘電体基板と、 から成るタッチ・パッド。
