Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 物質の加圧特性を測定する装置であって、 a) 圧入先端と、 b) 或る一定の直線距離を移動し、かつ該圧入先端を該物質に圧入する ことが可能な荷重システムと、 c) 該物質により該圧入先端に及ぼされる力を測定する力検出システム と、 d) 該力検出システムにより検出された力に及ぼされる圧入先端の傾斜 の影響を補正する可変角度補正システムと、 e) 該力検出システムの出力を該加圧特性を表す表示に変換する表現シ ステムとを備える、装置。 2. 前記可変角度補正システムが前記圧入先端上に凸状の圧入表面を備える、 請求項1に記載の装置。 3. 前記圧入表面が半球状である、請求項2に記載の装置。 4. 前記圧入表面が放物面状である、請求項2に記載の装置。 5. 温度補正システムを更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 6. 前記温度補正システムが温度補正用の関連回路を有する1個以上の張力ゲ ージを備え、該装置は著しい誤差無しで或る範囲の温度で硬さを測定し得る、請 求項5に記載の装置。 7. 応力補正システムを更に備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 8. 前記応力補正システムが面取りされた圧入穴と、撓むのを機械的に阻止す る駆動シャフトとを備える、請求項7に記載の装置。 9. 前記応力補正システムが1個以上の専用張力ゲージと関連回路とを備える 、請求項7に記載の装置。 10. 前記装置がハンドピースとプローブとを備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 11. 前記プローブがその使用を1回のみに制限する構造を備える、請求項10に 記載の装置。 12. 前記装置は再充電可能バッテリーを備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 13. 前記装置は廃棄処分可能バッテリーを備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 14. 請求項1に記載の水密装置。 15. a) 前記荷重システムが、 1) モーターと、 2) 該モーターにより移動させられる駆動シャフトと、 3) 該駆動シャフトの移動を判定するシステムとを備え、 b) 前記力検出システムが、 1) 前記圧入先端に堅固に接続される検知アームと、 2) 該検知アームの屈曲を測定する1個以上の張力ゲージとを備え 、 c) 前記可変角度補正システムが該圧入先端の端部上に凸状の圧入表面 を備え、 d) 前記表現システムがビジュアル・ディスプレイを備える、請求項1 に記載の装置。 16. 物質の硬さを測定する水密装置が、 a) ハンドピース、およびバイオネット型カプラーの使用により上記ハ ンドピースに接続されるプローブと、 b) 上記ハンドピース内部に配置されるバッテリーと、 c) 剛性物質から形成され、かつ凸状先端が半球状または放物面状の輪 郭にされる圧入先端と、 d) 上記先端に作動式に接続される荷重システムであって、 1) ステップ式移動が可能なマイクロプロセッサ制御線形作動器と 、 2) 上記直線作動器により移動させられる駆動シャフト組立体と、 3) 上記直線作動器に作動式に接続されて、上記直線作動器により 採択されるステップ数を判定する手段とを備える、荷重システムと、 e) 力検出システムであって、 1) 上記圧入先端に堅固に接続される検知アームと、 2) 上記検知アームの曲げを測定するための1個以上の張力ゲージ とを備える、力検出システムと、 f) 上記力検出システムに作動式に接続され、測定データ、誤差フィー ドバック、低バッテリー、バッテリー消耗の各表示を提供できる液晶ディスプレ イ(LCD)を備える表現システムとを備える、水密装置。 17. 物質の加圧特性を判定する方法が、 a) 圧入先端を備え、上記圧入先端が上記物質に接触するようにする装 置であって、上記圧入先端と上記物質との間の接触の角度の影響を補正する手段 を備える装置を位置決めする工程と、 b) 上記圧入先端を上記物質の中に延ばす工程と、 c) 上記物質により上記圧入先端に及ぼされる力を測定する工程と、 d) 上記物質の硬さを上記力測定値の関数として算出する工程とを含む 、方法。 18. 前記物質がインサイチュで関節軟骨を含む、請求項17に記載の方法。 19. 請求項1に記載の装置を使用して軟骨が健康か病気かを判定する方法であ って、 a) 該軟骨の加圧特性を判定する工程と、 b) 該加圧特性を健康か病気かの確定的状態での軟骨の該加圧特性の公 知の測定値と比較することにより、該加圧特性から健康か病気かの評定を補間す る工程とを含む、方法。 20. 請求項1に記載の装置を製造する方法であって、 a) 圧入先端を提供する工程と、 b) 或る一定の距離を移動することが可能で、かつ該圧入先端を前記物 質に圧入することが可能な荷重システムを提供する工程と、 c) 該物質により該圧入先端に及ぼされる力を測定する力検出システム を提供する工程と、 d) 該力検出システムの出力を該物質の加圧特性を表す表示に変換する 表現システムを提供する工程と、 e) 該力検出システムにより検出される力に及ぼす該圧入先端の傾斜の 影響を補正する可変角度補正システムを提供する工程と、 f) 該圧入先端と、荷重システムと、力検出システムと、表現システム と、可変角度補正システムとを組み立てて、物質の加圧特性を測定する装置を形 成する工程とを含む、方法。
