Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.式I: [式中、 R1、R2、R3及びR4は水素又は1〜40個の炭素原子を有する芳香族、脂肪 族もしくは芳香脂肪族基であり、 R5、R6、R7及びR8は1〜20個の炭素原子を有する芳香族又は脂肪族基で ある、 但し、基R1〜R8の少なくとも1つは重合可能な基を有する]のキラル化合物 。 2.R5、R6、R7及びR8が非置換、又はビニルもしくはビニルオキシで置換さ れたフェニル又はナフチル基である、請求項1記載の式Iのキラル化合物。 3.R3及びR4が水素である、請求項1又は2記載の式Iのキラル化合物。 4.R3及びR4が、 Y1-(A1-Y2)m-(T-Y3)n-(A2-Y4)o-z [式中、 Y1は共有単結合、−CO−又は−CO−O−であり、 Y2、Y3及びY4は、共有単結合、酸素、硫黄、− CO−O−、−O−CO−、−O−CO−O−、−CO−NR9−又は−NR9− CO−であり、この際これらの橋状基は同一または異なってもよく、 A1及びA2は2〜12個の炭素原子を有する同一又は異なるアルキレン基であり 、この基中の末端でなく隣接していないCH2基は酸素によって置換されていて もよく、 Tは3個以下のヘテロ原子を有してもよい、同一又は異なる脂肪族又は芳香族の 環であり、 R9は水素又はC1〜C4−アルキルであり、 m及びoは0又は1であり、 nは0、1、2、3又は4であり、かつ Zは水素又は重合可能な基である]である、請求項1又は2記載の式Iのキラ ル化合物。 5.R1及びR2が、互いに独立して水素、又は式: -(A1-Y2)m-(T-Y3)n-(A2-Y4)o-z [式中、置換基及び変数は前記に定義したものと同じである]の基である、請 求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の式Iのキラル化合物。 6.式Ia: [式中、 R1、R2、R3及びR4は水素又は1〜40個の炭素 原子を有する芳香族、脂肪族もしくは芳香脂肪族基であり、 R5、R6、R7及びR8は1〜20個の炭素原子を有する芳香族又は脂肪族基であ る]のキラル化合物の液晶でのドープ剤としての使用。 7.請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の式I又は式Iaの1つ以上のキラ ル化合物をドープ剤として含有する液晶組成物。 8.式I又は式Iaの化合物に加えて、重合可能な、アキラル液晶化合物を含有 する、請求項7記載の液晶組成物。 9.請求項7又は8記載の液晶組成物の支持体の被覆のための使用。 10.請求項7又は8記載の液晶組成物の干渉顔料の製造のための使用。 11.請求項10記載の顔料の印刷インキ及び表面被覆剤での使用。
