Abstract
990,799. Portable conveyers. CUMBRIAN IMPLEMENT CO. Ltd. April 30, 1963 [April 30, 1962], No. 16446/62. Heading B8A. A combined bale lifter and elevator comprises an endless conveyer 1 bent at a point 5 and adapted to be attached to a vehicle 8 so that it may assume a position (Fig. 2) in which its front part rises relatively steeply whilst its rear portion is more nearly horizontal. The conveyer 1 is pivotally supported on a frame 7 attached to the back axle of the vehicle so that it may be raised by a ram 12 to a position (Fig. 1) in which its front is at a relatively high level. Material may thus be lifted from the ground and fed to a trailer (not shown) and then elevated from the trailer to whatever level is required. Splayed arms 6 (see also Fig. 3, not shown) assist in gathering material.
