Abstract

1345846 Stone traps for harvesters GLAAS MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH Gebr 5 May 1972 [6 May 1971] 21171/72 Heading A1F A combine harvester has a stone trap comprising a removeable trough 8 located in front of the concave 4 and between the side walls 6 of the harvester frame, by means of two angle irons 7, each attached to one of said walls 6, and a pair of spring biased bolts 13 which are detachable from co-operating holes in said walls, when the handles 16 are moved transversely inwards against the biasing force of the springs 12. The rear wall 9 and the base 10 of the trough from a seal between the front edges of the concave 4 and the conveyor 17 in conjunction with a flexible seating strip 18 attached to the conveyor 17 and resting against the underside of the base 10. In an alternative embodiment the bolts 13 are mounted on the harvester frame and engage the front end of the trough 8, from which they are detached by an operator on the outside of the harvester's frame.
