Abstract

The mower is driven from the top and has a beam which folds back for transport and when a solid obstacle is encountered, and beneath which are mounted two belt driven drums rotating in opposite directions and converging at the front. The cutter blades are located at the bottoms of the drums. The beam is held in the working or transport position by means of a retracting and extending linkage located behind the attachment frame. The beam is connected to the attachment frame by means of a stirrup offset laterally in relation to the vertical plane of symmetry of three point linkage. The stirrup is hinged to the attachment frame by means of a vertical pin and by this means the mower may pivot to the front or rear as required.
