Abstract

1,082,024. Portable conveyers. B. S. MACKAY. April 28, 1966 [July 2, 1965], No. 28210/65. Heading B8A. An attachment for a tractor 6 comprises a frame 1 carrying an endless conveyer 2, 3 and forward and rearward support means 7, 8, connecting the frame to the tractor, the means 7, 8 being extendable and retractable such that the conveyer is inclined either rearwardly and upwardly or forwardly and upwardly. The conveyer 2, 3 is driven by a reversible hydraulic motor. The forward support comprises an hydraulically operated arm 7 and the rearward support comprises a slidable arm 8 lockable in its retracted position. An endless chain 13 mounted centrally of the width of the frame 1 and at the forward end thereof is positioned above the conveyer 2, 3 such as to grip bales of straw 10 &c. to facilitate their initial conveyance.
