933,316. Portable endless conveyers. R. J. BEST. Sept. 20, 1960 [Sept. 29, 1959], No. 33095/59. Class 78 (1). ' A tractor attachment for picking up bales, sacks or the like and delivering them to a trailer towed by the tractor comprises a first conveyer consisting of a pair of endless chains 1 carrying cross-bars 2 and mounted in a frame 4 pivoted at 15, and a second conveyer which consists of a pair of endless chains 17 carrying cross-bars 18 and which is mounted in a frame 22 carried on the pivot 15 at its upper end and adjustably supported at its lower end in relation to the ground by wheeled supports 23, the two conveyers being drivingly coupled together and driven from the power take-off on the tractor 12. The cross-bars 2 propel the sacks or bales over a platform 3, while the cross-bars 18 on the second conveyer have spurs 19 on which the sacks or bales are impaled as they enter between guides 28 at the lower end of the frame 22. A cage 29 mounted on the frame 22 assists in guiding the sacks or bales as they are elevated by the second conveyer, and side guides 30, 31 are also provided respectively on the frames 22 and 4. A manually or poweroperated telescopic strut 14 adjusts the height of the discharge end of the first conveyer.
