Abstract

970,495. Boxes. VASTERBOTTENS TRYCKERI A.B. Jan. 18, 1962 [Jan. 19, 1961], No. 1865/62. Heading B8P. [Also in Division B6] A box of variable capacity for filing documents is erected from a blank of sheet material including a rectangular central panel 1 and flaps 2-5 extending from the edges of the panel 1, each flap being provided with a series of uniformly spaced score lines parallel to the adjacent edge of the panel 1 to define a side wall of varying width. Extensions 3b, 4b of the flaps 3, 4 are folded over and interlocked by means of a slot 6 in the extension 4b which engages one of a series of slots 7 in the extension 3b. The flap 5 is provided with appropriately spaced series of score lines 9, 10 and extends round the box so that a tapered extension 5b may be inserted into a slot 8 in the panel 1. The flap 2 may serve as a closure panel. In a modification, tongues are punched in the extensions 2b, 3b of the flaps 2, 3 and are arranged to engage corresponding series of slots in the extension 4b of the flap 4. The flap 5 may then be used as a foldable cover.
