Abstract

939,013. Rocking chairs; folding seats. GOLMER PRODUCTS Ltd. July 19, 1962 [Aug. 30, 1961], No. 31218/61. Class 52 (2). A chair comprises two pairs of leg members 11, 12 and 21, 22, the members of each pair being pivoted one to the other between their top and bottom ends at 10, 20 respectively, two seat carrying bars 41, 42 extending from the front to the rear of the chair, each bar being attached to a corresponding leg member of each pair and two back carrying members 51, 52 pivotally mounted at 15, 25 respectively on each of the bars 41, 42 so that the chair can be collapsed by pivoting the back carrying members 51, 52 so that they lie parallel to the bars 41, 42 and pivoting the leg members so that they lie substantially parallel to each other, the corresponding leg members of each pair being joined at their bottom ends by an arcuate member 61, 62 thus forming a rocking chair. The legs 11, 21 and 10, 20 are joined at their top ends by arms 31, 32 respectively.
