Class 52(2) The frame of a deck chair comprises a pair of legs a pivoted to a pair of legs b at c, each pair of legs being maintained in spaced relation by cross-members such as e, f, g, h, a pair of uprights k being pivoted to the legs b at j. The uprights k are connected at their upper ends by a cross-member l and are further provided with a cross-member o adapted to abut a similar member n secured to the legs b. The canvas &c. seat and back is attached to the cross-members l, g or to the members e, g, a separate back carried by the members k being provided. In a modification a front pair of uprights are pivoted to the legs a, the front and rear pairs of uprights carrying arm-rests.
