583,317. Garden hammocks. DAWSON, W. H. M. Sept. 2, 1944, No. 16772. [Class 52 (ii)] A garden seat or hammock includes a stationary framework comprising a pair of tubular side frames 11, with front and rear upright 12, 13 and spaced apart by bars and struts 18, and a seat frame of which the side frames 21 having adjustable members 23, 24 are suspended by pin 25 and bracket 26 from the top bar 14 of the side frame of the stationary framework 11 so as to swing from front to back of that framework The side frames 21 are connected by horizontal bars 30, 31 supporting a seating surface 32 of canvas. The rear, top and sides of the framework 11 may be covered by a waterproof canvas 19 and a forwardly projecting frame 20 provided with a canopy 19 may be attached to front tubes 12 of the side frames 11.
