Class 52(2) A reclining chair has a combined backrest and seat unit 22 pivoted at 34 to a bracket 30 on the frame 10 by a bar 28 at each side of seat 26 and a leg rest 36 made of two hinged parts 38, 40 supported on a lazy tong linkage having links 42, 52 pivoted to seat bar 28 the link 52 having a bell-crank extension 72 connected pivotally to link 76 pivoted to bracket 30, reclining movement of unit 22 causing the leg rest to swing on to cross-bar 18 of the seat frame engages seat 26 to act as a stop.
