Abstract
931,297. Shuttering for casting bridges &c. STRABAG BAU A.G., and KLOCKNERHUMBOLDT-DEUTZ A.G. April 6, 1960 [Sept. 8, 1959], No. 12194/60. Class 20 (2). Shuttering 13, Fig. 3, for casting concrete bridges &c. on previously erected sets of piers 1-3 is supported on girders 12a-12d, each of which is supported on the piers by cross beams 15, 17 and is moved forward for the next casting operation on the cast bridge or the piers. Each beam 15, 17 is supported on a shoulder 34, Fig. 4, on a pier by a jack 33 and also by a cable 31 and distance-piece 35. After a casting operation the girders are lowered on the jacks 33 until they rest on frames 8, 9, carried by trolleys 6, 7 on which the girders are moved along the cast part of the bridge until they can be supported on the piers by cross beams 14, 16 whereupon the trolleys are moved back so that the trolley 6 is between the beams 14, 15, the girders are again advanced until their forward ends rest on a beam 24 on trolleys 23 running on rails 20 resting on temporary pillars 18 and the piers 3, the girders are now advanced supported by trolleys 6 and 23 until the beams 15, 17 can be supported on the piers 23 for the next casting operation. In modifications, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown), the girders 12a- 12d have extensions which span the distance between the next two sets of piers, e.g. 2, 3, and runs on rollers on the piers 3. The trolleys 6, 7 may be dispensed with and the girders run on guides on the piers.
