Abstract

1,092,355. Shuttering for casting bridges. POLENSKY & ZOLLNER. Nov. 4, 1964 [Nov. 22, 1963], No. 44942/64. Heading E1S. Shuttering for casting bridges is supported on short beams 20 the same length as a span between piers, which are are advanced on a long beam 11 the same length as two spans and arranged underneath the bridge deck 10 being cast, the beams 20 being connected at the front by a rigid frame 29 or resting on rollers on folding cantilevers on the beam 11. The frame 29 is carried by rollers 28 running on the beam 11, the rear of the beam 20 being suspended from a trolley 24 running on the already cast bridge deck. The beam 11 is moved forward through recesses in the piers 17-19. The front part of the beam 11 is of light construction and connected by a vertical pivot to the after part to allow the casting of bridges following a curved course.
