Abstract

348,722. Road bridges. ROBERTS, C. A., 15, Richmond Terrace, Queens Road, Bristol. Feb. 21, 1930, No. 5861. [Classes 20 (i) and 107.] A bridge for use at road crossings is provided with divided trackways at each end for the cross traffic leading to a central platform disposed above the main road, this platform being supported on girders 3 fixed to uprights 4 which are continued above the platform and stayed by cross girders 6 from which depend rods 12 to help in supporting the platform and trackways. The trackways are also flanked with uprights which are cross stayed and the platform may be extended at one side of each end so that the trackways are not side by side.
