Abstract

302,376. Woolnough, J. W. Sept. 12, 1927. Roads, arrangements of. -A crossing for main roads such as 3, 7 is in the form of a bridge or viaduct provided with a loop road, the sides 6 of which are separately supported and spaced apart in a direction longitudinally of the road 7 which they cross. Further, the sides 6 are connected by auxiliary vehicle passageways 8 to form an endless loop road suitable for a gyratory system of traffic, and are provided at or near their ends with branches or inclines 9 leading to and from the roads 3, 7. Instead of being formed at the crossing level of the road 3 as shown, the loop road may be disposed above the viaduct formed by the road 3, the sides 6 bridging the road 7 and the passage ways 8 bridging the road 3.
