269,065. Picken, A. H. Oct. 4, 1926. Surface markings.-An intermittent line for directing traffic on roads is formed of short lengths of steel or iron rails or bars embedded in the road surface. Lines b may be arranged on one or both sides of a central line a. The bars are preferably of bulb-tee section embedded with the wide flange uppermost and may be formed of rustless steel. One or more of the sections may have a lateral extension a<1> to indicate the approach to a side road or extensions on each side to indicate cross roads.
