Abstract

864,377. Shuttering for concrete. MONK & CO. Ltd., A. Sept. 29, 1958 [June 28, 1957], No. 20418/57. Class 20(2) Shuttering for casting a pier having two opposed battened walls y and two opposed parallel walls x comprises a number of yokes 15 carrying form panels 24 (not shown) and a number of yokes 12 carrying inclined form panels 11, the panels 11 being moved towards each other at each stage of erection by a threaded tie rod 19 while at the same time the yokes 15 and 12 are raised by threaded jacks 10. The jacks 10 are connected to the yokes 15 and by means of horizontal beams 14 (each comprising two back to back spaced channel sections) support the yokes 12. The yokes 12 are connected by channel beams 13 carrying wheels 16a, band c which run on and between the sections of the beams 14. The wheels 16a, b and c are retained by beams 16 connected to the beams 14 by tie bolts having spring loaded nuts (Fig. 5, not shown). Revolution counters are attached to the rods 19 and jacks 10.
