Abstract

867,515. Shuttering for casting concrete. WILLIAMS, C. I. July 8, 1957, No. 21548/57. Class 20(2) Shuttering for casting concrete course by course comprises sheathing 15 supported by studding 12 secured by dummy and regular she bolts 23, 26 respectively which are at an angle less than 90 degrees to the plane of the shuttering and engaging tie rods 22, 221 respectively, the tie rod 221 being embedded in the already set course and the tie rod 22 passing through the space for the next course, the she bolt 23 passing through a plate 281 on the top of the studding and the she bolt 26 passing through a plate 28 on the front of the studding. The tie bolt 22 is secured by a pig tail anchor 27 set in each course. When the next course has been cast the she bolts are removed, the shuttering raised and remounted with the regular she bolt 26 engaging the tie rod 22 and the dummy she bolt engaging a tie engaging an anchor set in the course just cast above. The bearing plate 28 is the subject matter of Specification 867,516. The shuttering planks 15 have grooves 35 in their engaging edges and are secured together by tie rods 43 passing through them and are fixed between a plate 40 at the top of the shuttering and a channel 36 at the bottom through which the she bolt 26 passes. The she bolt 23 passes through an angle member 44 secured between two of the planks 15. Scaffolding planks 57 are mounted on angle bars 55 pivoted to the studding. Australian Specification 160,939 also is referred to.
