Class 38 (1) In a plug for a coaxial cable, a length of the insulator surrounding the inner conductor of the cable (not shown) is exposed and threaded to carry an internally threaded, insulated sleeve 17 with a flange 18. A dimpled locking washer 21 bears against this flange, and the outer braiding of the cable is spread outwards and trapped between the rear of washer 21 and the front of a collar 20 surrounding the cable. The inner conductor of the cable is sweated to a contact pin 15, and the whole assembly inserted into the plug body 10, where it is held by a nut 19.
