[Also in Group XXIV] In a vehicle hand-brake lever one end of a tubular main member 1 receives and is secured to a spigot 6 provided upon one end of a cast or forged secondary member 2 having an axially bored boss 7 whereby the lever is adapted to be pivoted upon an anchorage plate (not shown). A lug 12 projects from the secondary member 2 and carries a pawl 13 adapted to be brought into engagement with teeth on an attachment plate fixed to the vehicle by means of a compression spring 17 and adapted to be released by a handle and trip rod arrangement 19, 15.
