815,057. Brake locking and release mechanism. CHICAGO FORGING & MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 1, 1955, No. 5736/58. Divided out of 815,056. Addition to 781,218. Class 103 (1). In brake locking and release mechanism of the type described in the parent Specification, the lever 48 by which manual release is carried out, is secured by nuts and bolts 46 to the lever end of lever 26, which is pivoted at 28 in an arcuate slot 30, a spring 32 wrapped around pivot 28 acting to urge the lever 18 in clockwise direction. A slight upward movement of handle 50 is sufficient to separate the locking pin 38 from serrations 40.
