Abstract

922,320. Feeding cigarettes. A. SCHMERMUND. May 1, 1961 [May 23, 1960], No. 15652/61. Class 78 (1). Cigarettes in hopper 8 are agitated by upward moving rollers 29 and are discharged from the bottom of the hopper into shoots 4 by rollers 1 driven from shaft 3. Shoots 4 are supported by fixed plates 11 and converge to deposit cigarettes upon plate 14. The cigarettes are pressed into position by pusher 32 and discharged by pusher 36.
