Abstract

1367059 Feeding to conveyers/discharging hoppers ARENCO-PMB NV 1 Feb 1973 [1 Feb 1972] 5141/73 Headings B8A and B8S Rod shaped articles, e.g. cigars are supported in a hopper 1 by clamping members 3 which engage the lowermost articles, and are delivered to a conveyer 2 by a vertically reciprocal carrier 4 which, in its uppermost position reciprocates horizontally to align the articles into rows. The carrier comprises carrying strips 9 and clamping members 11. The hopper is divided by a plate 14 to facilitate alignment of the articles.
