Abstract

731,529. Feeding cigarettes. JACKSON, D. R. P and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. June 30, 1952 [June 29, 1951], No. 15522/51. Class 78 (1). Cigarettes from hopper 2 are discharged by pusher 6, whilst support plates 8 pass upwards through the pusher so as to support the cigarettes above the pusher and then descend to lower the cigarettes for discharge by the pusher. As shown, pusher 6 is guided between rollers 19 and is reciprocated horizontally by roller 17 rolling on cam 16; and support plates 8 are reciprocated vertically by roller 22 rolling on cam 23. A stop may be provided to prevent the discharge of a selected cigarette. The pusher may be provided on an endless belt.
