[Class 130] Short tobacco falling between a block and a feed roller b, in a hopper a, into a container m is delivered by a feed roller n and a picker roller n<2> on to a belt o discharging into a trough g into which the long fibres are fed by a belt c. Additional short tobacco may be delivered to the container m from a container p. The distance between the roller b and the block i may be adjusted to regulate the quantity of tobacco falling into the container m. The ratio of long to short tobacco delivered into the trough g is varied by adjusting the speed of revolution of the rollers b, n.
