Abstract

898,188. Delivering biscuits. SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE - GESELLSCHAFT. Nov. 18, 1960 [Nov. 20, 1959], No. 39622/60. Class 78 (1). Biscuits 1 are delivered from an oven by conveyer belt 2, are divided at 11, and fall down stationary shoot 4, then pass down reciprocating shoot 5 and are directed by reciprocating walls 14 into channels 6 formed by upstanding wall 6<SP>1</SP>. The biscuits slide down the channels 6 and are delivered by toothed rollers 7, in eight columns on to conveyer belts 10. To ensure that each set of belts delivers a uniform set of four (not three) columns to the wrapping machine, four controls 16, 17 are employed, each consisting of four photoelectric cells and each controlling the respective motor which drives the respective rollers. Thus, an upper control 16 switches on rollers 7 when all four channels 6 are full up to the level of said upper control; and the lower control 17 switches off the rollers 7 when one of the four channels is empty at the level of said lower control. Each drum thus operates only when four channels of biscuits are available.
