[Also in Group XVIII] The weighing receptacle 59 of an automatic feed weigher (see Group XVIII) is fed from a hopper 27 by vibrating shoots 28, 33 provided with an interconnecting hinged shoot 32 which, in the event of an excess of material collecting in shoot 33 operates a device to stop the vibrator 34 of shoot 28. A partition 55 in shoot 33 divides the shoot into a main feed channel 57, and a dribble feed channel 58 in which the articles being conveyed move in single file.
