Abstract

The appts. comprises a hopper to receive the prod. and a chute which discharges it to the foot of an elevator. The elevator discharges it to a hopper feeding a double acting weigher. Sacks are held by automatic gripper mechanism to receive the prod. Dust is removed by a dust extractor. The filled sacks are closed by stiching or welding, depending on the material of which the sack is made. An inclined belt conveyor takes the sacks from the appts. for removal on the shoulder or for taking by other handling appts.
