894,033. Feeding granular material. HOLMES & CO. Ltd., W. C. Nov. 10, 1958 rnov. 8, 1957], No. 34822/57. Class 78 (1). Material from hopper 10 is fed by rollers 20, 22 which are oscillated about their respective axes 26, 28 by crank 36 acting through linkage 34, 30, 32, the material falling on to unidirectionally-rotating roller 50 and being discharged on to belt conveyer 40. Speed control of roller 50 controls the rate of discharge. Alternatively, the roller 50 may be replaced by a reciprocating plate, or may be omitted.
