Abstract
772,677. Jigging conveyers. PACKAGE MACHINERY CO. Oct. 6, 1954 [Nov. 20, 1953], No. 28794/54. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVIII] Jigging conveyers feeding the hopper of an automaticfeed weigher (see Group XVIII) operate as follows: Powdered material flows from a container 11 having an adjustable door 16 to a trough conveyer 12 jigged by a vibrator 19, and thence to a shoot 23 hinged at 15. Excess material on the shoot causes it to drop, thereby actuating a switch 28, through counterbalance arm 26 and springs 27, to stop vibrator 19. The shoot feeds a main trough conveyer 33, and a much narrower dribble trough 37 within trough 33, both being jigged by a vibrator 31. The end of trough 33 is over the end of the main hopper 40 and has a gate 41 controlled by a solenoid 45. The end of dribble trough 37 is over the end of a small hopper 90 (within hopper 40) and is always open.
