Abstract
919,911. Valves. BOPP & REUTHER G.m.b.H. Jan. 12, 1961, No. 1388/61. Class 135. A sliding plate valve has at least one rectilinearly reciprocable closure plate 2 with parallel closure faces and guide plates 6 co-operating with the closure faces, the guide plates being interconnected by spring means 10 which are not in contact with the housing 1 of the valve. The closure faces of the plate 2 co-operate with seatings 4 and with the guide plates 6 which have concentric boxes 7 in alignment with an opening 5 in the plate 2 when the valve is open. Through-going bolts 9 are provided at four or more places around the seatings 4 to carry tension or compression springs urging the plates 6 towards each other. The valve is actuated by a screw threaded spindle provided with a nut and a spacing ring determining the closed and open positions of the plate.
