919,238. Valves. HARTRIDGE Ltd., LESLIE. April 27, 1961 [April 27, 1960; Nov. 22, 1960], Nos. 14760/60 and 40127/60. Class 135. A flow control valve comprises a body 11 having a larger diameter bore 20 and a smaller diameter coaxial bore 16, the junctions of the bores forming a seat for a needle valve closure member 13. A separate screwed stem 29 is mounted in an extension 28 of the body and bears, through a ball 30, on the end of the valve member 13. An inlet passage 25 opens into the bottom of the bore 13 such that rotation of the stem 29 closes the valve or allows fluid pressure to open the valve.
