Abstract

1530714 Valves DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 27 May 1977 [27 May 1976] 22167/76 Heading F2V In an animal drinking nipple having a tiltable or liftable closure member 6, an extension 11 of a valve stem cooperates with a slot 12 in a member 8 screwed into the valve body so that rotation of the stem end 10 causes the member 8 to move axially to adjust the spring loading or to abut a shoulder on the valve stem to prevent actuation. In modifications the closure member is a ball, the biasing is magnetic or by water pressure acting on the closure member, and the spring and valve seat are reversed in position.
