Abstract

894,360. Valves. ALADDIN INDUSTRIES Ltd., and BATES, S. W. Jan. 12, 1960 [Jan. 30, 1959], No. 3447/59. Class 135. A flow control valve, particularly for a liquid fuel burner, comprises a helical groove 10 formed in a portion of a stem 4 which is screwed into the valve body 2, the helically grooved portion fitting closely inside a plain bore portion of the body between inlet and outlet passages 1, 3 and formed with a closure member 8 for shutting off flow through the inlet passage. The tops of the threads forming the groove 10 are flattened so that they are in close contact with the plain bore portion.
